Requirements

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
  • 4+ years of civil engineering experience, ideally with a focus on municipal water, wastewater, recycled water, treatment, conveyance, or utility infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with water and wastewater projects, including an understanding of technical standards, permitting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • S. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to high-quality project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, plan, and design water and wastewater treatment systems that support safe, reliable, and sustainable community infrastructure.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, master plan reports, technical studies, specifications, calculations, and design deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance, quality control, and design support to project teams while helping mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Support project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and deliverables to keep regional projects moving efficiently.
  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, regulatory agencies, contractors, and internal teams on permitting, compliance, and project delivery.
  • Perform and/or lead construction observation, construction management, submittal reviews, RFI responses, field coordination, and site documentation.
  • Contribute to planning, design, and construction support for treatment facilities, pump stations, pipelines, storage, and related water/wastewater infrastructure.
