About The Position

Hatch is seeking a Water/Wastewater Student for a Fall 2026 work term. Reporting to the Water business unit, you will support offices globally, working from our Mississauga office location. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in water and wastewater management, providing an opportunity for students to contribute to essential environmental services. The expected salary range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00 per hour, based on current market data and aligned with internal pay structures. Your individual compensation within this range will depend on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Requirements

  • A co-op student in the water and wastewater field.
  • Theoretical knowledge gained through various courses and relevant programs, such as Environmental Science, Water Systems Operations and Management and other engineering and scientific knowledge.
  • Practical skills and experience through hands-on training with industry equipment and pilot scale systems.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply engineering concepts.
  • Ability to adapt to new software and technologies.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation.
  • Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals as they apply to engineering problems and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Performs various technical tasks related to water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects including: Research, Technical report writing, Data analysis, Equipment selection and sizing.
