In the role of Water/Wastewater Project Manager Engineering, we'll count on you to direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out). You will be responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects, and produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently. You will establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings. You will conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders, and coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule. You will track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule. You will work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews and implement QA/QC procedures. You will perform other duties as needed. Specific project examples include the MSDGC East Branch Ohio River Interceptor Extension CM/CI, City of Columbus Dewatering Project, and Tiffin PDB.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7 years related experience inclusive of a minimum 2 years experience in project management
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience is required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Responsibilities

  • Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently

  • Implement QA/QC procedures

  • Serve as project engineer, performing engineering services during construction
  • Review shop drawings and requests for information from the contractor
  • Review Contractor schedule submissions for conformance with critical path and project schedule
  • Develop technical memorandums and reports documenting construction phase activities and schedule anomalies
  • Review and analyze as-built drawings of existing facilities
  • Review and analyze condition assessment data
  • Perform hydraulic and solids mass balance calculations to support all tasks
  • Work with interdisciplinary team to develop preliminary engineering report to document facility improvements.
  • Work with interdisciplinary team to develop final design drawings and specifications for the proposed dewatering facility.
  • Provide assistance to the project management including budget, schedule, and quality management.
  • Serve as project engineer, performing design of water treatment processes at the Tiffin Water Treatment Facilities.
  • Integrate new process equipment with existing piping, electrical, and control systems.
  • Produce contract drawings and specifications for the proposed water treatment plant facilities.
  • Perform hydraulic and chemical treatment process calculations to support all tasks.
