2027 Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern - Denver
About The Position
KJ is seeking ambitious achievers for their 2027 Kickstart Internship Program in Denver, Colorado. This internship will support project teams in providing solutions for water resources, water quality, wastewater and water treatment, and recycled water planning and implementation issues for clients in the water environment, transportation, and industrial sectors. Interns will have opportunities to work on significant projects across the United States, which may include field work, technical report preparation and calculations, pre-construction conditions documentation, and design plans and specifications.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Drafting /3D Design, or another related engineering field.
- Completion of a minimum of sophomore (second-year) standing in an accredited engineering program.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams providing solutions for water resources, water quality, wastewater and water treatment, and recycled water planning and implementation issues.
- Get involved in significant projects throughout the United States.
- Conduct field work.
- Prepare technical reports and calculations.
- Document pre-construction conditions.
- Assist with design plans and specifications.
- Apply skills and calculations learned in school to a variety of projects.
- Manage ongoing projects and communicate with other team members and clients.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Visit project sites.
- Receive mentorship and advising.
- Network with employees and clients.
