Water/Wastewater Design Engineer

A career-minded Water/Wastewater engineer, looking towards advancement, is needed to join JMT’s fast growing Water/Wastewater consultant engineering practice. Employee will plan assist with engineering designs in the water/wastewater field through working knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards and processes; conduct multiple design projects simultaneously; and develop, analyze and document critical design elements. Immigration sponsorship or support (e.g. H1B, F-1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this position, except for qualified candidates eligible for the TN visa classification. Compensation for this position is $39.50-43.00/hour, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. If so, the actual salary range may vary from the estimate provided.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards and processes
- Ability to conduct multiple design projects simultaneously
- Ability to develop, analyze and document critical design elements
Responsibilities
- Assist with alternative studies
- Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to complete a task
- Perform design computations
- Assist in designing projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools
- Assist with developing the project quantities for construction cost estimate
- Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction
- Perform other related duties as assigned
