We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager who is ready to contribute with both technical expertise and a collaborative mindset. As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support meaningful projects that ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable water systems. You'll collaborate with municipalities, clients, and internal teams to help solve complex challenges, while growing your skills and learning from experienced mentors. This opportunity is a hybrid role based out of our Asheville, North Carolina office. Candidates within a reasonable commute—Hendersonville, Waynesville, and nearby communities—are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other applicable field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 6+ years of professional experience in engineering, including project-related tasks
  • Demonstrated experience supporting project delivery, contracts, budgets, forecasting and schedules.
  • Proven independent design, task management and mentoring ability
  • Strong communication, organizational, and client service skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or related technical software; Microsoft Office required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Energetic, flexible, confident, and forward thinking
