About The Position

The Water Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating and transporting water for dust control and to electrical crews for backfill of trenches. This role involves operating the Water Truck and other equipment safely and efficiently, performing pre and post-trip inspections, and ensuring adherence to safe work practices. The driver will also attend mandatory training sessions and collaborate with various team members.

Requirements

2 + yrs. experience in construction and or with heavy equipment.
CDL Required
Ability to pass background checks, pre-employment, and random drug screenings.
Insurability must have clean driving record, and valid drivers’ license.

Responsibilities

Operate the Water Truck and other equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Perform proper pre and post trip inspections, as well as daily maintenance.
Perform proper machine start-up, operation, and shutdown.
Operate safely and efficiently.
Fill truck tank with water.
Spray water in designated areas.
Monitor vehicle performance, fluid levels and mechanical fitness.
May be required to get out of truck and spray water in trenches.
Operate other heavy equipment, and other construction-related duties as required.
Ensure safe work practices.
Attending mandatory training sessions on installation methodology and safety.
Works collaboratively with installers, crew leads, supervisors, superintendents, and managers.
Attends meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
