This full-time position is responsible for operating articulated and/or water truck, and performing various related labor duties around the job-site, as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in construction
  • at least 6 months truck driving experience
  • Job Knowledge
  • Ability to attain certifications as required
  • Fit for Duty

Responsibilities

  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in training opportunities.
  • Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
  • Prepares work by studying and clarifying instructions and diagrams; calculating requirements; gathering supplies.
  • Coordinate machine actions with other activities, position or move loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members
  • Safely fill water truck at hydrant or on-site filling station and dispense water on roadway/surfaces for dust suppression, road cleaning, or compaction efforts.
  • Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • This position is also responsible for tasks involving physical labor at construction sites and assisting other workers
  • Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials with appropriate training provided.
  • Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
  • Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools while distributing them to the appropriate locations
