If you are an experienced Water & Wastewater Facility Operator with strong technical and problem-solving skills, we want you on our team. Role Overview As Water & Wastewater Facility Operator, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of potable water and wastewater treatment facilities at the Lynn Lake Gold Project. Working closely with the Maintenance team, you will help ensure compliance with Manitoba regulatory requirements while supporting safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible site operations.

Requirements

  • Manitoba Water and Wastewater Facility Operator Certification with the ability to maintain the following certifications: Class 2 Water Treatment (WT), Class 1 Water Distribution (WD), Class 1 Wastewater Collection (WWC), Class 3 Wastewater Treatment (WWT)
  • Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and practical experience with equipment maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and facility monitoring systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Laboratory experience related to water or wastewater treatment operations is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, inspect, monitor, and maintain water treatment, wastewater treatment, collection, and distribution systems to ensure efficient and compliant operation.
  • Collect samples, perform laboratory testing, monitor process parameters, analyze results, and adjust treatment processes to maintain drinking water and wastewater effluent quality standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections, minor repairs, housekeeping activities, and general maintenance of treatment facilities and ancillary equipment including lift stations, hoses, and heat trace system.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and reports while performing analytical calculations and interpreting laboratory results to identify and resolve operational inefficiencies.
  • Safely handle treatment chemicals, operate equipment in accordance with safety procedures, and comply with applicable legislation, WHMIS requirements, and site safety standards.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, respond to after-hours callouts, and support additional site operational requirements as needed.
