About The Position
Performs all operational duties at all water treatment plants on a shift basis to functionally supply the City of Harlingen with potable water. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing the City’s water treatment plant.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification at an “A”, “B”, or “C”, level in surface water plant operations or ability to obtain within a set time depending on the license and experience level
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Basic computer skills
Nice To Haves
- Technical courses in water plant operations or a combination of experience and training
- Water Treatment experience
- Experience in using basic hand tools and some large equipment
Responsibilities
