SPRING HILLS - Water Treatment Plant Operator
About The Position
Aquatech is seeking a full-time Water Treatment Operator for its Spring Hill, Florida location. This role is responsible for monitoring plant operations, maintaining records, performing quality checks, and ensuring the efficient operation of water treatment processes. The operator will handle consumable chemicals, monitor treated water output, manage filter press operations, and coordinate sludge movement. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a pre-employment drug test. The ideal candidate will possess good communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and prior experience in industrial water treatment plants.
Requirements
- Experienced in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants involving at least some of the following: Pre-treatment (PT), Demineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Dissolved Aeration Flotation (DAF), Digestors, Waste water treatment units.
- Knowledge and experience in chemical processes involved in Pre-Treatment, Demineralization, and Wastewater treatment
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to be hands-on and to carry out tasks with minimal monitoring.
- Attention to detail.
- Prior experience working in industrial water treatment plants.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the plant operation
- Keep records of operation
- Carry out quality checks and chemistry control
- Report any abnormalities to the local supervisor
- Loading and unloading of consumable chemicals
- Loading of outgoing treated water into the trucks
- Monitor filter press operation
- Coordinate sludge storage and movement
- Assist plant operators in collecting water samples
- Assist in the maintenance of the plant on a required basis
- Other Duties as assigned
