About The Position

Aquatech is seeking a full-time Water Treatment Operator for its Spring Hill, Florida location. This role reports to the O&M Manager and is considered a non-exempt employee. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, capable of interpreting instructions, and have a keen attention to detail. Prior experience in industrial water treatment plants is required. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a pre-employment 5 Panel Test.

Requirements

• Experienced in operating and maintaining industrial water treatment plants involving at least some of the following: Pre-treatment (PT), Demineralization (DM), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Dissolved Aeration Flotation (DAF), Digestors, Waste water treatment units.
• Knowledge and experience in chemical processes involved in Pre-Treatment, Demineralization, and Wastewater treatment
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to be hands-on and to carry out tasks with minimal monitoring.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the plant operation
• Keep records of operation
• Carry out quality checks and chemistry control
• Report any abnormalities to the local supervisor
• Loading and unloading of consumable chemicals
• Loading of outgoing treated water into the trucks
• Monitor filter press operation
• Coordinate sludge storage and movement
• Assist plant operators in collecting water samples
• Assist in the maintenance of the plant on a required basis
• Other Duties as assigned
