About The Position

The Water treatment/Acidulation operator is a member of the Operations Team reporting directly to the Superintendent of Operations and Operations Supervisors. The Water treatment/Acidulation operator is accountable and responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy process.

Requirements

Have the ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Able to work in all weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Must be willing and able to work overtime hours during the week, weekends and/or holidays as directed by management.
Must be able to clearly communicate to co-workers and management.
Must be flexible to work rotating shifts. (1 Month Day Shift, 1 Month Swing Shift, 1 Month Night Shift)
Must be or willing to become forklift operator certified.
3-5 years of processing equipment operations experience.
Intermediate level in general computer applications use

Responsibilities

Monitor both systems in a timely manner while still running efficiently.
Understand, or have the ability to learn the required operation of the Water treatment/Acidulation process.
Processes water samples from the boilers, cooling tower and Water treatment area utilizing lab equipment.
Monitors and adjusts operations to meet quality and production requirements.
Transfers process chemicals in a safe manner.
Communicating with operators and supervision to address the needs for Acidulation tank space, to avoid impacting refinery operation.
Keeping inventory in order as needed to keep a healthy system.
Learn processing controls using a computerized system.
Participate in audits, ensuring all areas are audit ready at all times.
Complete all personal required safety trainings.
Operate forklift as needed after proper training/certification.
Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures and forms.
Ensure a clean and safe work environment adhering to food safety guidelines.
Learn and maintain proper use of personal protection equipment (P.P.E.).
Report all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Superintendent of Operations and the Plant Manager.
Ensure all tasks are completed safely as assigned to the shift.
Participate in all audits, ensuring all areas are audit-ready at all times.
Follow all safety rules and requirements, attending safety meetings, and tailgates.
Other duties as directed or required.
