About The Position
Under supervision, an employee in this class performs water purification operations at an assigned water plant for the Sewerage and Water Board. Work includes performing technical tasks in maintaining, adjusting, and monitoring activities such as chemical flows, pump operations, and sample testing. Work objectives are to provide safe drinking water to residents, industry and the general public, and to maintain regulatory compliance with EPA regulatory standards concerning drinking water standards; and related work as directed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Class II Water treatment License issued by the Louisianan Department of Health and Hospitals.
- Some positions may require a current Louisianan Commercial Driver's License.
- Applicants must provide original documents of their qualifying credentials to the hiring agency prior to their start date in this job classification.
