About The Position
Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, is looking for a Water Treatment Operator to join our industry leading Nalco Water team. You will be joining a talented team that is responsible for performing all necessary tasks to produce steam and treat wastewater. In this position you will be responsible for activities affecting the direction, safety, and housekeeping within the department.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with boiler operation or wastewater treatment
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and manuals in English
Nice To Haves
- Boiler License (NILUPE, City of Chicago) or in process of completing Boiler License
Responsibilities
- Oversee the boilers and effluent treatment equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair minor problems and alert maintenance to major repairs
- Operate a PC to perform various functions such as making process adjustments, monitoring operations, recording data, and reporting problems.
- Operate pumps, valves, and other equipment for safe and efficient operations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and environmentally compliant work and storage area
- Work with testing fire systems in building
- Handle waters tests, check water softeners, and work with water reclamation system
