About The Position

This role is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests at the Pool Bar, including selling, delivering, and accounting for products in line with Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn standards. The position requires anticipating guest needs, providing informative menu assistance, and maintaining a high level of service. The server will also be responsible for up-selling, ensuring order accuracy, and contributing to a positive team environment.

Requirements

• Previous F & B experience
• Able to work varied and flexible hours including mid-day shift, weekends, and holidays
• Able to read and write to facilitate communications
• Must speak English
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Applicants must be able to provide proof that they are legally able to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

• Food Handler Card preferred

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Anticipate guest expectations
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
• Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver the correct order in a timely manner
• Turn in correct Micros paperwork with minimal errors
• Up-sell food and beverage items as well as sundry items related to the pool
• To be accountable for guest service and follow through
• Assist and support the other team members
• Maintain cleanliness of pool bar area
• Control cost and waste in the work area
• Perform other duties and/or fill in at other positions
