About The Position

The Company B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. Position Water Technician (Desalination), Nunavut Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Supervisor, Site Services, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Requirements

Five (5) years' experience operating desalination or industrial water treatment systems in remote or Arctic environments.
Technical diploma or certificate in Water Treatment, Environmental Technology, or related field.
Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with SCADA or PLC-controlled systems.
Working rights in Canada.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor reverse osmosis (RO) and other desalination systems to ensure optimal water quality and production.
Perform regular sampling and water quality testing in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control components.
Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and water quality results.
Assist with upgrades, system modifications, and new installations as required.
Ensure compliance with environmental permits and health & safety protocols.
Respond to emergency breakdowns and support shutdown/start-up procedures.
Work collaboratively with environmental, maintenance, and operations teams.
