About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain. This role will support our goal to deliver scalable water infrastructure and AWS’s sustainable infrastructure expansion by owning development of mechanisms and technology solutions that deliver automation, data management, and analytics to help achieve our scale. The successful candidate will be an analytical problem solver with an extremely high level of customer focus, working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau

  • Can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

Responsibilities

  • Identifying system improvement opportunities by analyzing data, monitoring metrics, and partnering with internal teams.
  • Defining new features to meet emerging customers' needs.
  • Drive process improvement to streamline execution of technology solutions to completion.
  • Designing and developing automated reporting solutions to enable stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with other AWS teams to support the management of energy and water programs.
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
  • Facilitate collaboration between engineering teams, non-technical partners, and stakeholders on global team’s technology requirements, goals, and milestones.
