About The Position

Kleinfelder is hiring a Water System Operator for the Katy and Sealy, Texas areas. Technical Operators help ensure the operational efficiency and safety of multiple water supply and wastewater plants maintained daily. This is a flex position offering up to 15 hours per week. The position has multiple levels based on experience and state certifications and involves approximately 75% field work and 25% office time.

Requirements

Commitment to following established policies and procedures.
Valid driver's license.
A Class D Water Operator License is acceptable if a Class C license can be obtained within one year.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain pumps, motors, and blowers.
Complete and follow up on work orders and process control monitoring.
Monitor and record flow meters and system run hours.
Service and maintain equipment and the overall plant.
Clean sand filters and media filters.
Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot electrical controls with proper training and equipment.
Collect samples for analysis and maintain chain-of-custody records.
Log plant operation details on a computer and in writing, and prepare reports.
Monitor treatment processes and apply standard operational adjustments based on results.
