About The Position

We are actively hiring for the position of Water Spider for our plant in Van Nuys, CA. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized production floor, managing waste and recycling, and assisting production departments as needed. The Water Spider plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and safety of the manufacturing environment.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, speak & understand English
Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers
Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them
Ability to multitask with changing priorities
Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions
At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
Able to lift up to 50lbs (50% of time)
Able to stand for 8 hours
Walking and moving around work-area (50% of time)

Responsibilities

Remove label/vinyl waste off the production floor and check paper recycle bins.
Move pallets of Fed-Ex ground off the production floor and into the Fed-Ex trailer.
Organize jobs in the Bindery department by sorting and staging in the correct area by department and due date.
Assist with jogging paper for Cutter Operators when needed.
Ensure the production floor is swept and aisle ways are free of obstructions.
Report all workplace hazards to management immediately.
Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and free of safety hazards.
Be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
Be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.
