About The Position

Performs a variety of duties on the manufacturing shop floor, including receiving, inspecting, organizing, and delivering materials. The role also creates NDE shooter sheets for X-ray, UT, MT, and PT work and operates a forklift to transport stored items from the warehouse to the shop floor. The Water Spider stages parts in work areas, follows HSE regulations and requirements, and works with the team to improve departmental work processes.

The position requires physical activity including bending, squatting, climbing, pulling, stooping, twisting, reaching, and working at elevated heights. It involves lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Work may take place outdoors in extreme temperatures or in a shop environment.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of pressure vessel parts and how to locate material.
• Preferred education and experience: high school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent training.
• Minimum of two years of industrial experience.
• Ability to perform physical activities including bending, squatting, climbing, pulling, stooping, twisting, reaching, and working at elevated heights.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift or carry objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures or in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving incoming materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Compare received items with pick lists and drawing bills of materials (BOMs) to verify accuracy and quantity.
• Inspect materials for damage and defects and escalate issues to the Supervisor.
• Uncrate and assemble materials when directed, and remove and dispose of unneeded packing materials.
• Deliver materials accurately to the appropriate departments or work areas.
• Ensure items are properly tagged and labeled.
• Create NDE shooter sheets for all X-ray, UT, MT, and PT work to be performed.
• Operate a forklift to transport stored items from the warehouse to the shop floor.
• Stage parts in work areas.
• Comply with all HSE regulations and requirements.
• Work with the team to develop improved work processes for the department.
