Requirements

5 years’ experience is a supervisory role responsible for water, waste water and storm sewer infrastructure and operations.
A high school diploma supplemented with a Civil Engineering Technology diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
ACWWA Level II certification of both Water Distribution Systems Operator and Sewer Collection Systems Operator.
Thorough knowledge of practices, tools, equipment, components and terminology used in the installation, maintenance and repair of water and sewer distribution systems.
Possess a valid class 5 Driver's License and be willing to obtain a class 3 Driver’s License with air brake endorsement within a short period of time.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and experience in snow and ice control are considered assets.

Responsibilities

Oversees water as well as waste and storm water operations and infrastructure throughout the City, including water conservation and maintenance.
Mentors and supervises staff.
Ensures safe, quality and accountable services are provided through a level of service approach.
