About The Position

SERVPRO of Mesquite is looking for dependable, motivated, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Water Restoration Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the restoration industry. Previous restoration experience is preferred but not required. We provide the training necessary to learn the restoration industry and develop your skills. We are looking for individuals who want to grow with the company. Employees who demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, technical ability, and leadership can advance into Lead Technician and Site Supervisor positions.

  • VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE & CLEAN DRIVING RECORD REQUIRED
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Maintain an acceptable driving record.
  • Be able to safely operate a company vehicle.
  • Follow all company vehicle and driving policies.
  • Driving is an essential part of this position.
  • Employees are trusted with company vehicles, expensive equipment, and customer property.
  • Maintaining an acceptable driving record is therefore an important condition of employment and continued eligibility to operate company vehicles.
  • Lift and carry equipment and materials.
  • Move air movers and dehumidifiers.
  • Perform demolition.
  • Bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and work overhead.
  • Work in confined or unfinished areas.
  • Work around water and damaged building materials.
  • Work extended hours when emergency situations require it.
  • Work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous restoration experience is preferred.
  • Restoration experience is a plus.
  • Experience in any of the following is helpful: Construction, Remodeling, Flooring, Roofing, Plumbing, HVAC, Property maintenance, General labor, Restoration, Water mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to residential and commercial water damage emergencies.
  • Perform water extraction and cleanup.
  • Set up and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, and other drying equipment.
  • Take and document moisture readings.
  • Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials when necessary.
  • Protect unaffected areas of the customer's property.
  • Clean and maintain restoration equipment.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site.
  • Photograph and document job progress.
  • Complete required paperwork and job documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and property owners.
  • Follow company safety procedures and production standards.
  • Assist with storm, fire, mold, and other restoration projects as needed.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and eventually take responsibility for individual job-site tasks.
  • Operate company vehicles and travel to customer locations while transporting restoration equipment.
