Haley Ward is seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer to plan, organize, and control project activities to ensure successful completion within established schedules, budgets, and QA/QC policies. Typical projects involve municipal water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure, dams, site planning, and stormwater management. The role involves working in a team environment on a broad range of engineering projects from planning through implementation, supporting the preparation of professional plans and specifications, conducting engineering computations for complex projects, and communicating directly with governmental/regulatory staff. The engineer will represent clients at regulatory agency hearings, perform overall quality control, monitor compliance with codes and standards, and be responsible for the design concept of plans and specifications. Specific responsibilities include leading complex hydraulic design projects for municipal water distribution, collection systems, and treatment facilities, engineering pump stations from concept to commissioning (including electrical controls, telemetry, and automation systems), consulting with field engineers and contractors, communicating project strategy to the Project Manager, assisting in proposal preparation, promoting new business, designing and integrating SCADA control systems, and mentoring junior engineers while driving innovation in sustainable design approaches.
