Haley Ward is seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer to join their growing, employee-owned company. This role involves planning, organizing, and controlling project activities to ensure successful completion within established schedules, budgets, and QA/QC policies. Typical projects include municipal water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure, dams, site planning, and stormwater management. The engineer will work in a team environment on a broad range of projects from planning through implementation, supporting the preparation of plans and specifications, conducting engineering computations for complex projects, and communicating with governmental/regulatory staff. The position also involves representing clients at regulatory agency hearings, performing overall quality control, monitoring compliance with codes and standards, and being responsible for the design concept of plans and specifications. Specific responsibilities include leading complex hydraulic design projects for municipal water distribution, collection systems, and treatment facilities, engineering pump stations from concept to commissioning (including electrical controls, telemetry, and automation systems), consulting with field engineers and contractors, communicating project strategy to the Project Manager, assisting in proposal preparation, promoting new business, designing and integrating SCADA control systems, and mentoring junior engineers while driving innovation in sustainable design approaches.
