About The Position

The Colchester Department of Public Works is seeking a highly motivated self-starter with exceptional attention to detail. Under the general direction of the Public Works Director, the Water Resources Manager provides management services for the Town’s stormwater and wastewater systems. The role also covers inspection of new development containing public infrastructure, departmental asset management related to stormwater and wastewater infrastructure, environmental compliance, grant procurement, ordinance management, and public relations.

A bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, or related coursework and at least four years of experience in water quality and infrastructure planning and management are preferred. Applicants may also qualify through a combination of training, education, and experience demonstrating the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. The position is open until filled.
