About The Position

Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Water Resources Manager to their team in Houston! The role involves serving as a team leader, identifying Water Resources opportunities, and assisting with the development of an expansion plan. The manager will be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, and budget, and leading the development of Hydrologic/Hydraulic models of municipal storm sewer/sanitary collection systems. Key tasks include preparing Drainage Studies/Stormwater Masterplans, analysis/design of municipal Stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, storm sewers, detention basins, green infrastructure), and design of plans/specifications. The position also requires performing QC of stormwater models, reports, and/or designs, being responsible for local, state, and federal permitting, and preparing proposals and participating in client interviews. The Water Resources Manager will also represent the company at municipal meetings.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on water resources engineering preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in the design/management of Stormwater projects
  • Experience in Consulting Engineering, Public Works, or Construction
  • PE License
  • Basic principles of infrastructure design/plan preparation knowledge
  • Extensive knowledge of hydrology/hydraulics in the Houston area
  • Technical writing skills
  • Ability to travel through Houston area with own transportation
  • Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
