This position would be based in our Minneapolis, MN or St. Paul, MN office. This is an opportunity to work in a team atmosphere with experienced project engineers working on a variety of water resources projects. Looking towards the future? Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Biosystems Engineering with a hydrology or water resources emphasis, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic attitude.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for new employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with roadway drainage system layout and design, including new and retrofit systems and design of Best Management Practices (BMPs).
  • Assist with site design, including BMP design, modeling, and Low Impact Development (LID) practices.
  • Assist with the design of stormwater reuse systems, green infrastructure, and other sustainable stormwater management systems.
  • Assist with surface water management planning, feasibility studies, and assessments.
  • Assist with Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling.
  • Assist with Hydraulic analysis related to bridge, culvert, channel, and revetment design.
  • Assist with bioengineering design relating to surface water conveyance systems such as stream bank stabilization and restoration as well as wetland creation and restoration.
  • Assist with design of erosion control and sediment management BMPs.
  • Assist with wetland and floodplain mitigation analysis and permitting.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
