About The Position
The Water Utilities Inspector is responsible for inspecting new water and sewer connections on new construction. This role involves inspecting water and sewer service at both rough and final stages, responding to customer complaints, retaining detailed records, and assisting with grease trap reports and inspections of waste haulers. The position requires maintaining a high standard of safety, conduct, and job performance. The Senior Water Utilities Inspector has similar responsibilities but may also perform as lead on standby when required.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Three years of experience
- Ability to use a personal computer including email, word processing, and preparing spreadsheets.
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers.
- Ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive records.
- Possession of 3 of the 5 listed licenses: State Certification Wastewater Collection II, State Certification Water Distribution C, Customer Service Inspector Certification, Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester, Licensed Irrigation Inspector.
- At least 2+ years of leadership experience (Senior Inspector).

- Additional training or experience in a related field.
