About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our Atlanta, GA office. This role involves assisting with the development and updating of engineering drawings and layouts using CAD software, performing hydrologic, hydraulic, and other engineering calculations, preparing technical memoranda and reports, and assisting in the production and quality control review of construction plans and specifications.

Requirements

  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of Summer 2027.
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • No experience is required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a Civil or Environmental Engineering field.
  • Experience with MicroStation (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and updating of engineering drawings and layouts using CAD software to support transportation and drainage design projects.
  • Assist with performing hydrologic, hydraulic, and other engineering calculations using established procedures and software tools.
  • Assist with preparation of technical memoranda, reports, quantity calculations, and supporting project documentation.
  • Assist in the production and quality control review of construction plans, specifications, and other deliverables for client submittals.
