Water Resources Engineering Intern – Summer 2027
About The Position
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Denver, CO office. Your role will be to assist project engineers with water resources analyses, design development, and technical tasks while gaining hands-on experience in hydraulic and hydrologic engineering. You will support the delivery of water resources projects by contributing to data collection, modeling, calculations, and engineering evaluations. You will also help communicate design concepts and technical recommendations through engineering drawings, exhibits, reports, and construction documents. Additionally, you will participate in the preparation and organization of project deliverables, including design data, plan sets, specifications, and supporting documentation. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and learn industry standards, engineering practices, and project delivery processes. Furthermore, you will develop technical and professional skills through mentorship, training, and exposure to a variety of water resources and infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Nice To Haves
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
