About The Position

Pennoni is seeking a Water Resources/H&H Engineer for their Lehigh Valley, (Bethlehem) PA office. The engineer will support H&H, ES&C, drainage, and SWM tasks for projects across the Mid-Atlantic region, with a focus on Pennsylvania and potential design work in surrounding states. Responsibilities include interacting with internal staff and clients, developing project plans, technical reports, quantities, and specifications. Opportunities for task and project management, including scope, schedule, and budget, will be provided. The role also involves occasional field data collection and site visits, offering diversified projects and assignments with different clients.

Requirements

  • BSCE degree
  • 5-12 years of work experience in water resources engineering.
  • Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic (H&H) modeling of natural systems and stormwater collection systems, floodplain management and modeling, culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, erosion and sediment control design, drainage design, stormwater management design, plan review and plan and report preparation.
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software such as PondPack, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and Watershed Modeling System.
  • Experience with plan production via AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills for preparation of project reports, specifications, studies, and other engineering documents.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • FE/EIT, PE Preferred
  • Design experience (3D modeling) with AutoCAD and MicroStation strongly preferred.
  • Experience with PennDOT, PA Turnpike, DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT and/or DCDOT.

Responsibilities

  • Support H&H, ES&C, drainage and SWM tasks associated with projects for multiple clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region with a focus in Pennsylvania and the opportunity to provide design work to surrounding states.
  • Interact with internal staff and clients regarding the development and design of projects.
  • Develop project plans, and the associated technical reports, quantities, and specifications.
  • Manage tasks/projects scope, schedule, and budget (if aspiring to task or project management).
  • Perform occasional field data collection and site visits.
  • Work on diversified projects and assignments with different clients.
