The Stormwater Master Planning unit, within the Water Resources Planning and Engineering branch of Asset Management, provides technical oversight for master servicing and stormwater planning studies. These studies are crucial for development in greenfield growth areas and rural villages. The unit also implements key components of the Infrastructure Master Plan, including the Stormwater Management Strategy and the Stormwater Retrofit Program. It offers technical support for Watershed Plans, Subwatershed Studies, and Environmental Management Plans, and manages aspects of natural hazards like floodplain mapping and erosion/slope stability issues related to growth. In this role, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team, providing technical input for the preparation, review, and approval of master servicing and stormwater planning studies. You will coordinate external consultants involved in background studies and conceptual/functional design. Your technical skills in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, municipal infrastructure planning and design, water resources planning and engineering, and design and construction will be applied. You will also participate in multi-disciplinary committees for Watershed Studies, Subwatershed Studies, and Community Design Plans, and perform other related duties.
