About The Position
Ensure water quality regulatory compliance through monitoring, sampling, data analysis, and reporting for oil & gas operations in Alberta. This role involves planning and executing compliant water sampling, maintaining accurate monitoring documentation, analyzing results to identify exceedances, submitting timely regulatory reports, and supporting corrective actions and audits.
Requirements
- 5+ years water quality compliance monitoring experience
- Knowledge of Alberta water and wastewater regulations
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/engineering
- Experience with oil and gas produced water programs
- Proficiency with lab sampling and chain-of-custody
- Water sampling and field measurement
- Laboratory coordination and chain-of-custody
- Analytical data management (Excel/SQL)
- Regulatory reporting and documentation
- Water quality standards and exceedance analysis
- Attention to detail
