The Arizona Game and Fish Department manages fish and wildlife in Arizona and, under the authority of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission, creates and implements scientific methods and regulations to effectively manage fish and wildlife habitat via conservation, enforcement, hunting, fishing, watercraft and off-highway vehicle recreation, and shooting sports. This position serves as the lead scientist and administrator for Arizona’s statewide water quality program and is responsible for program administration, oversight over water quality monitoring and assessment, fish kill investigations, incident response, and overall program direction. This position also oversees the Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) program and ensures its effective integration with the statewide water quality program statewide.
