About The Position

ENWIN Utilities Ltd. is seeking a Temporary Water Project Review Officer to ensure water system work complies with Corporate standards, Municipal By-Laws, and regulatory requirements. This role involves the review, approval, and oversight of water distribution infrastructure to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient distribution of water. The position is a temporary contract role located in Windsor, ON, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Requirements

College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, with a Certificate in Water Main Design and a Municipal Law Enforcement Certificate.
More than 3 years of similar or related experience.
Proficient in using AutoCad and Microsoft suite of products.
Demonstrated knowledge of National Standards of Canada, specifically CSA B64.10 (Selection and Installation of Backflow Preventors).
Knowledge of construction and design of Water Distribution Systems, including hydraulics and the application to Water Distribution Systems.
Knowledge of MECP Guidelines, WUC/AWWA/NFPA standards.
Experience and knowledge in the field of Municipal construction.
A valid Class G Ontario Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Communicating with contractors, owners, and consultants on proper procedures and permit requirements.
Recommending and enforcing compliance with ENWIN Utilities Ltd. Standards.
Coordinating with the City of Windsor on water permits and inspections procedures.
Administering water-related By-Laws as they pertain to the operation of the system.
Administering the Backflow Prevention and Cross-Connection Control programs, managing the Backflow By-Law website, approving backflow testers, reviewing installations, managing tester results, and following up with appropriate parties to ensure compliance.
Developing and generating reports for analysis and statistical information.
