About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Water Process Scientist to join their Resilience Water Business Line in Toledo, OH. This role is ideal for an individual passionate about environmental engineering and interested in gaining experience with water and wastewater treatment processes and research. The successful candidate will collaborate with an experienced team to support ongoing projects related to water treatment and management, contributing to solutions for environmental and regulatory challenges. The company serves diverse clients and project types across various market sectors, combining technical expertise, a commitment to service, and adaptability. The role offers a chance to be mentored within a team of experienced engineers in a dynamic culture.

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills, particularly in technical report writing and data analysis using software such as Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proactive attitude towards learning.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, or a related science degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, Revit, process modeling, and hydraulics.
  • Interest in further pursuing an advanced degree in engineering.
  • Pursuing an advanced degree in Engineering associated with the Water and Wastewater industry.
  • Prior internship experience in a consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment.
  • Expertise in drinking and wastewater treatment, waste management and biodegradation of contaminants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and design support for water, wastewater, or industrial project designs as part of a team.
  • Grow professionally by engaging in various market sectors with the guidance and experience of the existing team.
  • Manage multiple, unique assignments simultaneously with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and challenges regularly.
  • Assist in conducting detailed analyses and preparing technical reports.
