About The Position

Easton Suburban Water Authority has an immediate opening for an entry level Water Plant Operator at its facility located in Easton, PA. This is a full-time position that has a rotating schedule every other week. This position assists in operating the controls of the treatment plant processes and equipment to assure quality and quantity of drinking water for human consumption, industrial, and emergency use in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards. It also involves operating and controlling electric motor pumps and valves to regulate the flow of raw water into the water treatment plant and finished water to the distribution system, as well as receiving and testing bulk chemical deliveries and operating instrumentation.

Requirements

High School graduate with mechanical ability
Above average computer skills required
Valid driver's license required

Nice To Haves

Thorough understanding of water system operations preferred.
Class A Drinking Water Operator’s License preferred but not required at time of hire.
Additionally, Subclass 1,7,8 and 12 is preferred, but not required at time of hire.
Both need to be completed within 2 years of employment.
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Water: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities
