About The Position

The Water Park Cashier at Margaritaville Lake Resort is responsible for assisting guests as they check in to the indoor waterpark. This role is vital in creating an environment of fun and participation while ensuring guests enjoy the area safely. The cashier will be confident in handling cash and credit card payments accurately and enjoy talking to people of all ages, including young children. The team at Margaritaville Lake Resort aims to create and deliver fun and escapism for its guests through a variety of recreational activities.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Confident in handling cash and credit card payments accurately.
  • Enjoy talking to people of all ages including young children.
  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when handling and recording payments.
  • Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guests, other staff members and on the phone.
  • Ability to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and hotel policies and procedures.
  • Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally, and with care.
  • Adjusts to high-pressure conditions and is open to change.
  • Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development.
  • Conducts him\herself, acts and dresses professionally at all times.
  • Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally.
  • Actively listens to others.
  • Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.
  • Must be a strong swimmer.
  • Minimum pulling and lifting of 20 pounds.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • Hearing, writing, speaking.
  • Standing for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Proper cash handling procedures to include Micros transactions, balancing daily receipts, balance bank, complete all closing reports and deposits.
  • Greet all guests as they enter, charging for admission, and explaining the facility lay out and amenities.
  • Maintain a clean facility and work area.
  • Possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guests, other staff members and on the phone.
  • Restocking and selling of merchandise.
  • Properly assist guests in a prompt and hospitable manner.
