About The Position

Phigenics is seeking a candidate with a flexible schedule interested in working 20-40 hours per month on average. Water Management Equipment Technicians (WMETs) will report to the Director of Field Services and provide service and account management support for clients in a region. WMETs service existing clients by taking water tests, maintaining equipment, and assisting in maintaining Comprehensive Water Management Programs by analyzing microbiological and water chemistry data and responding quickly, professionally, and accurately to client requests. WMETs may be asked to perform minor maintenance on water monitoring equipment, take on-site readings via testing instruments (i.e., chlorine, temperature, and pH readings), and collect building water samples to be sent to a lab for cultures. Once fully trained, the employee may be expected to mentor or train peers to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and team development. Candidates must live in the Chicago, IL metro area.

Requirements

  • Background in science, engineering, or mathematics preferred.
  • Ability to learn how to use equipment that measures pH, temperature, and residual oxidant in water.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Self-motivated and directed.
  • "Can do" attitude.
  • Strong desire to learn new concepts.
  • Demonstrate commitment to high ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Understand and use MS Office, Gmail, and various Google applications.
  • Must live in the Chicago, IL metro area.
  • Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
