About The Position
Under supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the inspection, installation, maintenance, and repair of water/ wastewater distribution system facilities; assists in maintenance tasks related to the water/ wastewater distribution system; and performs a variety of tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility. Other work tasks include assisting other departments such as required.
Requirements
- Equivalent to the completion of high school or GED
- One (1) year experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of water services, mains, meters, valves, hydrants, and related facilities is desirable
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Certification about the primary role within their job description as described in the Essential Function
- Must be able to work outside of regular business hours as needed
- Valid Texas Driver's License required
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug test
- Pass background checks
