About The Position

The Water Fitness Instructor 1 will be responsible for providing safe aquatics wellness to patrons. Requirements

• Read, write, and speak English language to express ideas and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of safe aquatics practices.
• Use of aquatic equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Teach aquatic exercise programs in deep and shallow water.
• Multi-task and follow instructions to complete tasks in a safe and effective manner.
• Interact with individuals using generally accepted business behaviors and standards.
• Use interpersonal skills to deal effectively with others in favorable and unfavorable situations.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
• Some experience in Customer Service and Aquatics Cleanliness.
• First Aid/CPR/AED required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Lifeguard Training preferred.
• Swim lesson instruction and water exercise instruction are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach aquatics exercise programs.
• Provide a program/class atmosphere that promotes and encourages inclusion and satisfaction to all participants.
• Respond to emergency situations and if necessary, administer CPR/First Aid.
• Prepare and submit accident/incident reports.
• Participate in In-Service training, orientations and other staff meetings as requested.
