About The Position

Kusser FountainWorks is an established international water feature company that designs and builds custom water features for landmark projects. We are seeking a creative Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced 3D CAD operator as well as being well rounded to assist in the full project life cycle. Salary will be contingent on experience and capability level.

Requirements

• Must have 3D CAD and modeling ability.
• Minimum 5 year drafting experience
• Strong blueprint knowledge in multi-disciplines.
• Ability to cross multiple construction disciplines but focus will include mechanical systems of piping layouts, equipment room layouts, piping schematics and fabricated equipment package layouts for projects as well as architectural granite and other components.
• Ability to interface with architects, engineers, contractors and developers.
• A self starter with ability to Identify, interpret and resolve technical project issues with minimal oversight
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and stay abreast of latest regulations and criteria for local, state, and federal regulatory agencies

Nice To Haves

• Prefer experience in the commercial water feature or swimming pool industry, aquatics or hydraulics.
• Experience in mechanical, HVAC or similar construction or industrial experience would also be a good fit.
• Prefer a mechanical engineering degree but other engineering, architectural, landscape or technical or design related backgrounds will also be considered.
• Electrical knowledge and/or programming experience are also desired skills

Responsibilities

• Learn the Kusser design process to design and draft all aspects of water feature and granite projects.
• Participate in the full project life cycle from client design meetings, to design phases, site installation trips and owner training.
• Limited out of state travel will be required for client and jobsite meetings and to instruct field crews in the technical installation.
