Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education required
  • New York City Department of Environmental Protection project experience
  • Ability to clear a Motor Vehicle Check required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in water/wastewater projects as Office Engineer preferred
  • Experience with other water/wastewater-related project documentation such as documentation and processing of change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals preferred
  • PE preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports all administrative actions of the Resident Engineer
  • Responsible for the documentation and processing of change orders, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, transmittals, and other project-related documentation
  • Performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff
  • Assisting with engineering calculations
  • Overseeing work of junior-level technicians
  • Monitors and controls field quality control surveys, materials tests and quantity calculations to verify construction contractors’ progress payments
  • Maintains Submittals and Request for Information (RFI) logs using software Tools for the project
  • Maintains document control logs
  • Assist with the Processing of Contract Change Orders (CCO) and resolution of CCO requests
  • Maintains construction scheduling by evaluation of contract schedule submittals, attends weekly construction field meetings, and prepares a construction status report on a monthly basis
  • Process Design Service Requests (DSR), survey requests, and material testing requests
