About The Position

Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Water Engineer to join their Los Angeles, CA office. Arcadis offers onboarding and development programs for young professionals to support their growth and integration within teams. This role involves supporting the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, focusing on sustainability and resilience. The position requires technical delivery, client-focused solutions, preparation of technical documentation, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
Solid understanding of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
Ability to work effectively both independently under the guidance of project managers and collaboratively within a team environment.
Flexibility in taking on a variety of assignments.
Initiative to embrace new projects and challenges.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity/experience with ArcGIS and/or hydraulic modeling software.

Responsibilities

Perform planning studies, design, and field investigations for water and wastewater systems, including collection, transmission, distribution, pumping, and treatment facilities.
Support sustainability and resilience projects, which may include vulnerability assessments, mitigation assessments, as well as planning and design initiatives for utilities, municipalities, and cities.
Prepare comprehensive written technical reports, Preliminary Design Reports, evaluation memorandums, spreadsheets, and permitting applications.
Develop written communications and engaging presentations for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Assist utilities, municipalities, and cities with planning and design solutions to meet infrastructure needs.
Contribute to project coordination and technical analysis to support successful project execution.
