About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a dedicated, creative, and energetic Water Engineer to support their team in Middletown, CT. This role involves tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions for water issues. The Water Engineer will collaborate with experienced professionals, support project development, interact with clients, and enhance technical capabilities.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline)
Familiarity with various software tools such as CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, EPANET, and Modflow.
Familiarity with digital tools such as SharePoint, BIM, PowerBI, and Augmented Reality.

Nice To Haves

Prior work/internship experience at a design or consulting engineering firm or municipal work environment.
Familiarity/ experience with CAD, AutoCAD, Revit.

Responsibilities

Possess a strong foundation in engineering concepts and theories related to water, wastewater, and stormwater management.
Be skilled in evaluating, planning, designing, and supporting the management of projects involving water treatment, wastewater treatment, and stormwater conveyance including pipelines and pumping facilities.
Provide valuable support in project management efforts including managing project scopes, budgets, and client deliverables.
Engage in the full cycle of sustainability and resilience project management, from assessment and development to ongoing support.
Exercise judgement when working on engineering tasks, including making critical decisions on project details and selecting suitable engineering solutions.
Perform fieldwork duties such as site visits, water quality analysis, construction inspection, sampling, flow monitoring set-up, and monitoring technology evaluations.
Gather plant operations information, troubleshoot processes, and optimize operations.
Support asset management projects by conducting data analytics, performance evaluations, and assessments to optimize performance of water/wastewater/stormwater facilities.
Prepare various reports and materials.
Participate in client meetings.
Utilize digital tools to boost collaboration and enhance project delivery such as SharePoint, BIM, PowerBI, and Augmented Reality.
Design and manage databases and cloud-based computing services.
