About The Position

The Cincinnati, OH team is looking for dedicated, creative, and energetic candidates interested in tackling challenges and developing sustainable solutions to address water issues like quality, scarcity, reuse, management, and resilience as an Entry Level Water Engineer. Collaborating with our experienced water professionals, you will support and drive the development of projects, interact and work with clients, and develop your technical capabilities. The role sits within our global business area Resilience. We work to protect our natural environment and water resources, while powering our world for future generations. Requirements

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water/wastewater/stormwater is essential.
  • Bachelors of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity or experience with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, planning, and designing projects related to water/wastewater/stormwater treatment and conveyance, including pipelines, treatment plants, and pumping facilities.
  • Data analysis, technical writing, preparing engineering calculations, development of detailed drawings, cost estimation, and coordination with equipment manufacturers.
  • Support project management activities.
  • Field work such as site visits, sampling/ water quality analysis, or preparing equipment inventories.
  • Supporting contractors through equipment reviews, answering questions, and observing construction activities.
  • Support preparation of reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participate in client meetings.
  • Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards, and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
  • Learn and use digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery including configuration and deployment of SharePoint, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Power BI, and Augmented Reality.
