The James City Service Authority (JCSA) seeks an individual to perform responsible work installing, maintaining, repairing, and constructing the James City Service Authority water distribution systems. This role requires the ability to work an on-call schedule and respond to after-hours emergencies, and may involve working during closures, after hours, and during emergencies. There are four levels in this Water Distribution Utility Worker series, distinguished by the level of work performed and the qualifications of the employee. The JCSA strives to be a market leader in compensation, offering competitive starting rates and predictable compensation pathways. In addition to annual cost-of-living increases, a step pay plan provides regularly scheduled wage increases, including 5.0% step increases annually for the first four years of service and 1.5% step increases annually thereafter, for candidates hired at the entry level.
