About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a geotechnical, civil, environmental or structural engineer or geologist to join our team in Highlands Ranch, Colorado; Syracuse, NY; or Columbus, OH. We are looking for a candidate with 2-5 years of experience with strong organizational and team-building skills who feels comfortable with a dynamic work flow. As part of our Resilience Environment team, you’ll help improve quality of life. You will work alongside Engineers, Project/Program Managers, and Technical Experts on various activities in support of diverse pipeline asset integrity and environmental assessment project portfolios. This opportunity is to support our growing asset integrity team with geotechnical and environmental aspects related to pipeline geohazards. Primary focus will be on pipeline integrity associated with natural forces (especially related to rivers).

Requirements

Bachelor’s of Science in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental or Structural Engineering or Geology or closely related field
2-5 years of experience with strong organizational and team-building skills

Nice To Haves

EIT Certification
MS in Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental or Structural Engineering or Geology or closely related field
Relevant coursework in Hydrology, Fluvial Geomorphology and/or Rosgen training courses
Experience in Office 365 (e.g., Excel), Finite-Element Modelling (FEM) programs (e.g., GeoStudio Slope/W and Seep/W), and Bentley Systems OpenGround
40-hour HAZWOPER

Responsibilities

Assisting Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) with developing technical scopes of work and cost estimating for proposals on project opportunities.
Perform field work (up to 25%) with a focus on health and safety in various climate and geographies.
Assisting environmental and geotechnical engineering team in evaluations of existing and proposed conditions in modelling software for design and construction.
Assisting team with reduction of field data for engineering evaluations.
