About The Position

HR Green is seeking a Project Manager to lead and expand its Water, Wastewater, and Water Resources practice in Central Texas. This role involves working with clients to manage and deliver projects that enhance local infrastructure and community quality of life. The team offers planning, design, and construction-phase services for various projects, including wastewater treatment plant upgrades, collection system improvements, drinking water plant design, and water distribution systems. This is a key opportunity to lead significant projects, cultivate client relationships, and contribute to HR Green's regional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in a related engineering discipline.
  • Professionally registered (P.E.) in the state of Texas.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a PE.
  • Work history demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects and teams.
  • Demonstrated strong customer focus by obtaining repeat client work and cross-selling additional consulting services.
  • History of successfully completing complex projects for small to large client bases.
  • Actively involved in one or more industry professional organizations.
  • Ability to travel and meet with clients both virtually and in person as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Estimates hours, drafts budgets, and defines project scope and contracts.
  • Develops and manages Project Plans, including phases, tasks, resources, timelines, contingencies, and critical paths.
  • Oversees technical direction and manages project resources to meet budget and schedule goals.
  • Conducts kickoff and regular project meetings to discuss schedules, project plans, and client expectations, ensuring projects stay on track.
  • Initiates scope changes, addendums, and change orders to ensure project financial performance.
  • Identifies client needs and meets customer expectations.
  • Recommends business solutions for current and future client needs.
  • Interacts with client technical and mid-level staff and supports senior staff in client management.
  • Attends client meetings, representing the firm and presenting project work.
  • Serves as a firm representative in client interactions.
  • Provides information for proposal development.
  • Monitors and tracks client solicitations.
  • Meets or exceeds sales targets by winning projects from existing clients and pursuing new business.
  • May act as a pursuit lead and supports strategic pursuits.
  • Leads proposal development and interview preparation, coordinating information with business line and marketing staff.
  • Identifies project time and resource needs and builds effective teams.
  • Assigns tasks, monitors project budget and schedule, and holds team members accountable.
  • Leads Project Team Meetings and distributes minutes.
  • Resolves conflicts immediately and appropriately using interpersonal skills.
  • Monitors and resolves issues such as scope creep, cost overruns, billing issues, and delays.
  • Develops and maintains project tracking tools to identify and solve potential project impacts.
  • Ensures timely and accurate project billing according to contract.
  • Maintains overall project profitability targets.
